There are 8.1 billion people in the world. Most of them do not know Jesus Christ as Lord.

The goal of March316 and the development of a new international day of evangelism, set to take place 3/16 of each year, is to share the central truth of Scripture through John 3:16. Only 2.1 billion people in the world are Christians. Six billion people still need an introduction to Christ. Let's tell the world.

Our Mission

March316 is a movement to see every Christian active in evangelism. The difficulty that exists, though, is that merely starting a movement for mass evangelism doesn’t make evangelism any less abnormal for the average Christian. What normalizes evangelism comes from two leadership adages: “What’s scheduled, gets done” and “What’s talked about, gets done.” March316 exists to create those two avenues for a mass evangelism movement to begin.

The label “March316” starts with a date in mind: March 16 or 3/16. In scheduling a day for an annual International Day of Evangelism, there is no date more logical than 3/16 as it is readily associated with John 3:16. Sunday, March 16, 2025, will be the first International Day of Evangelism, and every pastor, preacher, Sunday school teacher, or life group leader can preach or teach John 3:16 on that day to share the greatest message with lost people, while also emphasizing and normalizing the necessity of evangelism for every believer. March 16 can be a natural date to schedule an annual emphasis on evangelism. The scheduling of the date isn’t to isolate evangelism to one day but instead to give a simple date to plan for an evangelism emphasis.

More than 157,000 people die daily without the gospel. If Christians continue to view evangelism as abnormal, that number will only increase. The normalization of evangelism can only occur with a cooperative and rhythmic movement of evangelizing the lost. March316 desires to be the connection point for ministries, churches, and individuals to take the basic idea and create material, methods, strategies, and events to take the gospel to the lost.

OUR VISION

A word about Dwayne Carson, co-founder

Dwayne has spent the past 40+ years in ministry. From Campus Pastor at Liberty University to being the head of a Christian school, his passion has always been to know Christ and make Him known. Most recently, he has directed that passion into his new ministry, Date the Word.  As part of that ministry, Dwayne has taken his knowledge of Scripture to match at least one Scripture reference to the date.  A natural offshoot of that is matching March 16 (3/16) with John 3:16. For years he has encouraged his friends and family to take the opportunity to share John 3:16 on March 16.  Awakened in the middle of the night mid-2024, he felt the Lord directing him to look at a 2025 calendar, 3/16/2025 is on a Sunday. His vision expanded with the dream that every ministry leader around the world would preach/teach John 3:16 on March 16, 2025. This is the spark of that dream.
